âď¸ Deep Dive: How to Build Unshakable Confidence
đ The Cost of HesitationâAnd How It Holds You Back
I used to think my problem was not knowing what to do next.
But that wasnât it.
I knew exactly what I needed to do. I just wasnât doing it.
A while back, I was in a business coaching session (yes, coaches get coaching too!), talking about business growth. I was focused on outreachâreaching new people, cold connections, finding fresh leads.
Then my coach asked me a question that stopped me in my tracks:
âWhy are you ignoring the people who already know, like, and trust you?â
I hadnât even realized it, but I was avoiding the warm audience that had already engaged with me. Why?
Because reaching out to them felt personal.
It wasnât about strategyâit was about fear.
- What if they donât respond?
- What if they donât actually like my work?
- What if they say no?
- What if they tell other people they rejected me?
So instead of having simple, natural conversations with people who already valued what I do, I overcompensated by chasing new leads.
đ¨ Hesitation was costing me opportunities.
đ¨ Overthinking was keeping me stuck.
đ¨ The fear of rejection was slowing me down.
And thatâs when I realizedâI was waiting for confidence, but confidence wasnât coming.
The only way to stop hesitating is to move before you feel ready.
So I did. I reached out to people I had been avoiding. Some didnât respond. Some said no. But the ones who did? Those conversations led to opportunities I would have missed if I had kept hesitating.
đ The Lesson? Confidence isnât a prerequisite for action. Itâs the result of it.
Are you ready to build unshakable confidence? It all starts with a simple decision: Commitment.
đ The Confidence Snowball Effect (Start Small, Grow Big)
Most people believe:
đŤ Confidence â Action â Success (âOnce I feel ready, Iâll take actionâ)
But the truth is:
â
Commitment â Action â Competence â Confidence â Momentum
How It Works:
1ď¸âŁ Commitment: Decide what you actually want and commit to it.
2ď¸âŁ Action: Take the first step, even if itâs small.
3ď¸âŁ Competence: Each action builds experience and skill.
4ď¸âŁ Confidence: As competence grows, confidence follows.
5ď¸âŁ Momentum: Confidence fuels more action, and action fuels results.
Commitment is the missing piece.
If you donât know what you wantâor if youâre not fully committed to itâyouâll hesitate, second-guess, and struggle to take action.
But once you commit, the rest of the loop falls into place.
How to Build Confidence (From A to Z)
You donât need to âfeel ready.â You just need to start moving.
1ď¸âŁ Commit to a Clear Outcome
Confidence canât grow if you donât know what youâre working toward.
đš What do you actually want? A promotion? To grow your network? To speak up more?
đš Get specific. Define your goal so your actions align with it.
đš Write it down. Clarity reduces hesitation.
2ď¸âŁ Decide Faster (Even on Small Things)
Confidence comes from trusting your ability to make decisions.
đš Next time youâre stuck deciding between two things, pick one within 30 seconds.
đš Set a time limit for daily decisions (e.g., 5 minutes max to decide what to work on next).
đš Stop waiting for perfect informationâmake the best decision with what you have.
The more you practice quick, low-stakes decisions, the more youâll trust yourself on the bigger ones.
3ď¸âŁ Speak Up Once Per Day
đš In a meeting? Say one thing. Even if itâs simple.
đš On a call? Ask a question or offer insight.
đš In a conversation? Share a thought instead of holding back.
You donât need to dominate the room. Just participate.
By doing this daily, youâll stop feeling invisible and start owning your presence.
4ď¸âŁ Reach Out to One Person This Week
Networking isnât about having the perfect pitch. Itâs about building real relationships.
đš Text an old colleague: âHey, was thinking about you. Hope youâre doing well!â
đš Comment on someoneâs LinkedIn or social media post.
đš Reply to a message youâve been ignoring.
Small steps. Zero pressure. Just connection.
Do this for a month, and youâll be shocked at how many doors open.
5ď¸âŁ Do One Thing That Makes You Slightly Uncomfortable
Confidence grows at the edge of your comfort zone.
âď¸ Say yes to a challenge youâd normally avoid.
âď¸ Try something new without waiting to be âready.â
âď¸ Have a conversation youâve been putting off.
The discomfort lasts a moment. The confidence lasts a lifetime.
đ The Timeline: When Will You See a Difference?
đ 1 Week In: Youâll notice you hesitate less in daily decisions.
đ 1 Month In: Your social confidence will improve. Networking and speaking up wonât feel as forced.
đ 3 Months In: Youâll feel completely different. Your actions will match your ambitions.
Think of confidence just like you would interest. It compounds. And the sooner you start, the faster it grows.
âĄď¸ Work With Me
If youâre done watching opportunities pass you by and want to start showing up with confidence, coaching might be the right move.
Together, weâll map out:
âď¸ Where youâre stuck and whatâs holding you back.
âď¸ The exact steps to build confidenceâwhether itâs leading better, speaking up, or growing your network.
âď¸ How to stop hesitating and start showing up with confidence every day.
Confidence is built through action. If youâre ready to take that step, letâs talk.

đŻ That's a Wrap
Confidence isnât something you wait forâitâs something you build.
Hesitation keeps you stuck. Commitment gets you moving.
Hereâs your challenge this week:
âď¸ Commit to an outcomeâwrite it down.
âď¸ Make one quick decision without overthinking.
âď¸ Speak up once in a meeting or conversation.
âď¸ Reach out to one person and strengthen your network.
đŹ Which of these are you going to commit to? Reply and let me know.
đ See you next Monday! Make it count.
