Why This Blog? Why Now?
For years, I’ve held a deep passion for health, wellness, fitness, and personal growth, but I kept this side of my life separate from my corporate career. For over a decade, I worked as a personal trainer and wellness coach, helping people reach their fitness goals. At the same time, I thrived in leadership roles in industries like oil and gas, logistics, and transportation. Despite being fully committed to both areas, I never felt they intersected.
But as I navigated both my personal passions and my professional life, I realized something: These elements don’t have to be separate. In fact, my dedication to health and wellness is the cornerstone of my professional success. The time has come to bring this integrated approach to others—especially to those who, like me, might be struggling to maintain balance while chasing big goals.
Defying Expectations: Peak Performance in Challenging Environments
As a young engineer working in the oil fields, I was told that pursuing fitness or personal growth would be impossible. The work was grueling, often set in remote locations where healthy food and consistent schedules were luxuries. But I was determined to prove otherwise. Despite the 2 a.m. gym sessions, erratic work hours, and less-than-ideal conditions, I made time for my health. It wasn’t easy, but I learned an invaluable lesson: Your environment doesn’t control your well-being—you do.
By keeping my health and fitness in focus, I didn’t just survive the high-pressure conditions; I thrived. This mindset helped me perform at my best in all areas of my life, reinforcing my belief that fitness and personal well-being are key to professional success.
